“This instrument was born from a relationship that developed over time between myself and one of my clients, eventually reaching a point where we could do nothing but dream of building and owning a guitar like this. I could sense that there was a desire for an archtop instrument in the air, and I had realized that some of the models I had already built had captured my client’s imagination and sparked his interest. The empathy that had grown between us in the meantime did the rest. An instrument made entirely of mahogany, inspired by the M&M’s model featured on these pages. The main difference lies in the sides, which are no longer made of maple but of mahogany, resulting in a tone and expressiveness that are as sweet, warm, and seductive as possible.“… Let’s Play.
Archtop model entirely handcrafted from solid mahogany.
All the archtop models presented on these pages are entirely handcrafted by luthier Emanuele D’Alò, founder of Shank Instruments Milano. Each instrument comes with a lifetime warranty and is built according to the principles of the Benedetto method. Both the soundboards and the backs are hand-carved from solid quarter-sawn wood.
