“A feast laid out with every delicacy imaginable. That was the feeling the instrument was meant to convey once in your hands — and that was the philosophy behind the project I was presented with. The goal was to achieve the greatest possible versatility in playability, and the widest assortment in terms of tonal variety. From this premise came the decision to use three custom-wound Alnico V pickups of our own making, a varitone switch, and coil-splitting on the humbuckers. All the models presented on these pages are entirely handcrafted by luthier Emanuele D’Alò, founder of Shank Instruments Milano. Each instrument comes with a warranty and a certificate of authenticity.

I have always wanted a custom-made guitar, and it took me much research-hours on internet before I contacted Emanuele.
Stunning looks of guitar when I open the case for the first time. Quality was as I expected, flawless finish and all the bindings are perfectly done. The playability is great! The guitar feels silky smooth and gorgeous to play and I must say that this is one of the best guitars that I have held in my hands.
The guitar sounds amazing unplugged, loud and zingy, and plugged in it is beautiful. I had some doubts when I ordered custom made pickups, but I was totally blown away by how amazing those pickups sound. They are hot, with gain it gives warm and compressed sound which fits perfectly in blues/rock. And the clean sound is crystal clear but still warm enough to bring out the mojo of your solo.
And all the details, wow! It matches any other high-end custom-made guitars. Emanuele was very kind and very helpful during the whole process. He went through and discussed every single small detail with me and helped me to make choices when I was unsure. Superb workmanship with highest professional standards. Even the packing-job was 10+!
